Woman arrested over drug driving

A 56-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving following a collision in Hop Pole that injured a charity worker.

Emergency services were called to the A1175 around 10.15am on Friday (January 26).
Lincolnshire Police said that those involved in the collision received medical treatment, while the road was closed and debris was cleared.
They also said that three vehicles were involved, a Mini, a Skoda and a white Transit van, and a 56-year-old woman was been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
The MAGPAS (Mid Anglian Air Ambulance) attended the incident, as did Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.
A spokesman said: “The MAGPAS Air Ambulance advanced medical team assisted on scene, assessing one patient in their 50s who was taken to hospital via the East Midlands Ambulance Service.”
Fire crews from Spalding, Bourne and Market Deeping provided casualty care and made both vehicles safe.
Involved in the incident, driving the Skoda was district councillor and founder of the Rightside Trust and Ella’s Project charities Mark Le Sage.
He has publicly thanked the health services for their care.
“It was very fortunate that an off-duty fire officer, nurse and first responder were on the same road at the same time and were able to offer immediate support.
“I cannot thank all the emergency services teams enough for everything they did as well as the people who lived opposite the incident and cared for me whilst the emergency services carried out their vital role.
“I was seen at The Johnson Hospital and then Pilgrim, I know the NHS is continually in the news for poor results but on Friday they were amazing.
“I have only great praise for all that they did.
“I’m very, very lucky and exceptionally grateful to everyone that helped.”
