District stops to remember fallen

South Holland paid its respects to the fallen last weekend at events across the area.

Towns, villages and groups all paid their respects in a host of different ways.
The regular parades and services at war memorials including those in Spalding and Holbeach, took place in front of large crowds. It was the first time for many years it was held in the morning in Holbeach.
There was also those who remembered in other ways.
Spalding United FC Youth raised over £500 for the Royal British Legion with Jessie Black supporting her brother and dad and coach Lee Black by spraying poppy images on the pitches.
Philanthropist Harold Payne also held a special celebration for veterans at his Anglia Motel, Fleet, which saw a host of entertainment after a poppy drop by plane.
