Martial arts: Self-defence tips are a hit

A self-defence seminar at Spalding’s Castle Sports Complex was a big hit.

Gym members were invited to take part in last Saturday’s session with top martial artists Mike Constantinides and Ian Parker, and 28 took up the offer.

Castle sales rep Katrina Biggadike attends a class of Mike’s in Peterborough and used the one-off event to gauge interest on forming a class at the complex.
She said: “It was a really hands-on seminar about quick ways to get yourself out of danger. Everyone came out of it bruised!”
She added: “Everybody loved it – I’ve had people saying it has changed their life.”
