Hospital gold standard for care

Staff at Holbeach Hospital have been recognised for the end of life care they provide.

Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust has achieved Gold Standards Framework Platinum status.

It’s part of The National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre in End of Life Care which aims to improve standards of care for all people nearing the end of life.

Maxine Winch, manager of the hospital, said: “We are very proud to have maintained our platinum standard for end of life care.

“This is a meaningful award that the whole team has worked hard for.”

Mandy Secker, care champion at Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust, said: “I’ve been involved in end of life care for many years at the hospital and I am very proud to be involved with the championing of care and especially end of life care.

“We have worked very hard to have a whole home approach to end of life care so that all staff are involved in providing a gold standard of care for all of our patients but particularly our end of life patients.”

The trust is currently looking for trustees. Anybody interested can email [email protected]
