LETTERS – It’s not good enough

If South Holland planning visited developments, large or individual builds, maybe this retrospective malarkey could be abolished or at least the applicant can only apply once.
Applicants should surely know what they’re building and where, instead planners are left like hamsters on a wheel.
Retrospective planning is open to much abuse and is ready for a overhaul.
Some applicants do what they want in the knowledge that the planning department will let it slide.
Not good enough. Get a grip.
