Holbeach driver found dead in ditch

A Holbeach man has died after a single vehicle road traffic collision.

Cambridgeshire Police say a red Vauxuall Vivario containing Costel Burdulea, 43, of John Street was found on Sixteen Foot Bank near Stonea at 12pm, Monday, September 19, but it’s not known when the collision occurred.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Stephen Andrews said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen this incident or the van since Saturday evening. It is unknown at this time how long the vehicle had been in the water.”

Anyone with any information should contact police and quote inc 148 of 19 September.
