Pyradon see off Skegness challenge to lift Donington Summer Snooker crown

Pyradon are the winners of the Donington Summer Snooker Tournament after defeating Skegness 4-1 in the final on Friday night.

The winning team, made up of players from both Bourne and Donington, consisted of Mark Woodberry, Neil Reynolds, Jason Green, James Sharpe and Alfonso Palumbo – with the latter’s break of 48 the best made in the tournament.

Organiser Jean Thompson said: “What a cracking finals night we had. The atmosphere between the two teams was great.

“On behalf of the Donington Club I would like to thank everyone for entering a team and supporting us through the summer – without you we would not have a tournament.”
