Fine performances from Harry Lovell and Mark Ramsden helped Moulton Harrox 2nd return to the top of South Lincs and Border League Division One on Saturday.
Visitors Harrox won the toss and bowled first at Heckington – and started superbly with openers Aaron Machin and Charles Garrett out for ducks.
Simon Meadows (27) and Robbie Townsend (51) did score well for Heckington, though, as they made it to 131 in 43 overs.
Lovell was the star turn with the ball as he took 4-31, while Simon Juckes (2-40) and Danny Jackson (2-22) also impressed.
Moulton would have wanted somebody to anchor their reply and skipper Ramsden duly obliged, carrying his bat for an unbeaten 65.
With support from Anish Suwarneraj (10), Jackson (10 not out) and Lovell (29), Harrox cruised to 132-5 in 42.5 overs to take the maximum haul of 20 match points.
In the same division, Spalding 2nd remain winless and bottom after suffering a 140-run reverse at Orton Park 2nd.
After opting to bat first, Darren Sweary (81) and captain Ethan Debell (63 not out) both passed 50 as the home side made 212-5 from their allotted 45 overs.
Paul Foreman (3-37) did his best with the ball, while Neo Timothy chipped in with 1-38 for Town.
They struggled to score in reply, though, with only three players making double figures and were all out for 72.
In Division Two, Long Sutton 2nd (75-7) beat Belton Park (74) by three wickets.
Ed Munson (6-34) impressed to bowl out Belton in just 20.5 overs at Paradise Field, while Aaron John (2-13) also chipped in.
Dinesh Elangovan’s 36 was the highlight of Sutton’s reply as they scored 75-7 in 16.5 overs to take 20 points.
Spalding 3rd (83) lost by 230 runs against Skegness 2nd (313-7) at the Memorial Field.
William Gardner was their star man with figures of 3-32 and 28 runs.
