Holbeach United have finalised their pre-season schedule ahead of their return to training on Saturday.
The Tigers, who were relegated from the Uhlsport UCL Premier Division last season as they went an entire season without a win, are preparing for life in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Division One North in 2022/23.
With boss Danny Clifton bringing in Simon Roberts from Yaxley to help him manage the team next season, it promises to be a fresh start for the Carter’s Park club.
They will begin pre-season with a trip to fellow Step Six side Bourne Town on July 9 (3pm), then play host to Deeping Rangers the following Saturday (also 3pm).
A trip to Lincs League winners Wyberton follows on July 19 (7.30pm), before another away game at March Town on July 22 (7.30pm).
Two home games then conclude pre-season for the Tigers as the host PDFL side Crowland Town on July 26 (7.30pm), before a showdown with UCL Premier Division side Wisbech Town on July 30 (3pm).
Meanwhile, the Tigers have revealed that Callum Lawe will be head coach of Holbeach United Reserves, who will again be in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division next season.
Lawe will take charge of a side that will essentially be an under-23 team next season as the club look to create a natural pathway for young players rising through the ranks.
