‘Time to Talk’ with senior forum

A group that aims to help the over 55s in and around South Holland has launched a new coffee morning to encourage people to get out the house and meeting other people.

The Welland Senior Forum has launched the Time to Talk sessions at Baytree Garden Centre’s cafe.

It met for the first time recently with the next meeting set to take place on Tuesday, June 21 at 2pm.

A spokesman said: “It’s simply an opportunity to get out, have a cuppa with other people from the group, in an informal setting.

“You may have issues you want to share, something that’s bugging you to get off your chest or simply to get out of the house.

“These sessions will work with the usual cycle of meetings so will be on the third Tuesday every other month.”

All are welcome to meetings and for more information you can visit www.wellandseniorsforum.org.uk
Liz Lamming from the National Energy Advice Service will be the guest speaker at the Welland Senior Forum’s next meeting at 2pm on Tuesday, May 17 at United Reformed Church on Pinchbeck Road in Spalding.

The group’s last meeting focused on mental health and heard from a representative from Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire.
