Award winning staff in the pink

A Pinchbeck company that helps people back to living in their homes after stays in hospital has been recognised for its support for carers and also raised money for charity.

Last week Libertas, based at Apex Court, held its long overdue staffing awards and also took part in Breast Cancer Awareness’s Wear It Pink day.

Peter Hagan, from Lincolnshire-based charity Every One, which supports carers in the county, presented the Lincolnshire Carers Quality Award to Libertas for the work they are doing to ensure that unpaid carers are included and supported within the service.

The medical competence certificate holders.

Other awards presented included Richard Skipper being named a Libertas Star and Della Moore presented with the Lead to Succeed Certificate of Achievement.

As part of the Wear It Pink day staff raised £270 for Breast Cancer Awareness thanks in part to a tombola boosted by generous donations from numerous local businesses.

A spokesman for Libertas said: “As a company we would like to thank everybody that donated prizes to the raffle including Irresistibles, Holbeach, Pippa’s Pantry, Julie Hosking, Chloe Jones, Paul Hutchinson, Jade Hageman, Sarah Hall, Milkshake Madness, Cheryl Mayer, Trimmings Country Store and Masseys Garage.

“There are truly some amazing people out there. Thank you to the people who generously donated.”
