Man seen driving two months into three year ban for 93mph speed chase

A Spalding man who last year was banned from driving for three years following a police chase at speeds up to 93 mph before abandoning his car and hiding in a potato field, was found driving his car in Albion Street.

Ignas Bagdonas, 30, of Banks Avenue, had admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance when he appeared at Boston Magistrates Court in early March and the case had been adjourned for a pre
sentence report from the probation service.

Prosecutor Jim Clare said he was seen by police on December 7 driving his Vauxhall Azafira less than two months after his three year driving ban had been imposed.

Bagdonas was banned from driving for an additional six months on top of his existing ban and was fined £350 and ordered to pay £180 in court costs and charges.

He was also placed on a 12 month community order and ordered to undertake 10 rehabilitation days.
