LETTERS – Gent cleared the way

During these depressing days, a little uplifting story.

I am 93 and use a mobility scooter – my bit of freedom to shop and get fresh air.

Returning from M&S along by the football ground, I came to a complete standstill, my scooter would not move through the depth of leaves.

I was really stuck until a gentleman came to my aid.

He cleared a path almost the length of the road to the traffic lights with just his feet.

What a hero and if he reads this my heartfelt thanks again.
