LETTERS – Retain our health services

It would be hugely disadvantageous to many residents in the Spalding area, including Holbeach and surrounding villages, if services at the Johnson Hospital are downgraded, as was suggested in The Voice.

I myself have had several non-emergency procedures done there over the years, including three x-rays. It’s a 130-mile, three hour round trip to Gainsborough and back, which is highly inconvenient for anyone without a car.

I agree with Coun Brewis when he says that South Holland should have an Urgent Treatment Centre.

Sir John Hayes ought to fight to retain and upgrade our health services in Spalding.
