Holbeach United bosses John Chand and Graham Drury declared themselves mostly happy with what they saw in a 6-1 defeat of Wyberton FC on Tuesday.
Six different players notched for the Tigers.
Gary King and Lee Dube started up front and grabbed the first two goals before Ash Fuller maintained his scoring streak and sub Courtney Meade edged the Tigers further clear.
Jake Duffy finished off a great move for 5-0 and an Ollie Pinner penalty added to the rout.
The one drawback for Drury was a mix-up between Liam Parker and second-half right-back Ryan Watling which led to Lee Orrey’s goal spoiling a clean sheet.
He said: “It was a good performance. We kept the ball nicely and stretched the play to use the width well.
“We aren’t going to be short of goals so if we can cut out the individual mistakes we’ll be fine.”
Nick Conroy, who withdrew from a role at Spalding United this summer due to work commitments, was in goal for the Tigers, although Drury expects the veteran keeper to be with the Tulips at Yaxley tonight (Thursday).

The Tigers have a friendly at Lincoln Moorlands Railway on Thursday (July 24, 7.45pm) and a somewhat unattractive trip to Coalville Town on Tuesday.
Drury admitted it will be a test of character against one of the Tulips’ opponents in Evo-Stik League Division One South next season.
He said: “They’ll have a few fans there and they’ll be a bit noisy. With how we like to play, some of our lads will have to be close to them so it could be an interesting one.”
Former Boston United Academy player Niall Delahoy, who can play at either full-back position or right midfield, has signed, and loyal clubman Matt Warfield was expected to yesterday.
