Ian Dunn has resigned as Pinchbeck United manager after six years at the Knights.
Dunn returned to the club as player/manager in May 2014 after previously overseeing its 2011/12 Peterborough and District League title triumph.
After the spell as co-manager at Boston Town and as a player at Holbeach United, he returned to the Knights and took them out of the district league to the higher echelons of the United Counties League Premier Division in 18/19.
On the way he claimed a first ever UCL Division One title and two PDFL Premier Shields.
But wfter seeing the budget cut last summer the Knights had a poor 2019/20 and were rock bottom when the season was curtailed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Dunn had said he’d enjoyed an enforced break from football, but with just under a month until competitive football returns, he’s decided to step away.
Chairman Gary Coomes, said: “The club would like to put on record its gratitude for his Ian’s efforts over his long tenure with the club.
“Together we made memories that many village clubs can only dream about and for those memories we will always be grateful.
“On a personal note, Dunny has and always will be welcomed at our club and I am saddened the journey has come to a conclusion.”
