7-0 wins for three teams

Three teams handed out 7-0 drubbings in the Spalding and District Billiards League on Monday night – although league leaders Bourne Snooker Centre weren’t one of them.

They did chalk up a win though, beating Consti A 5-2, keeping them at the top.
They’ve only lost three games so far this season, and currently have 70 points.
Their winners were brothers Elliott (R40) and Lester Gaunt (O10), while Alan Hansard (R70) got the better of Gary Surridge (R80) to give Consti some points.
Second-placed Donington whitewashed Pyramid B 7-0, putting them 13 points behind Bourne.
Nigel Brasier (R60), Tony Scully (R40) and Ben Wrigglesworth (R10) made up the winning team, beating Maurice Phillipson (R70), Martin O’Connor (R70) and Darrell Read (R30) respectively.
Brasier made a 25 break, while Scully knocked in a 24 and 21.
Third placed Holbeach B lost ground as Pyramid A got revenge for a 7-0 beating earlier in the season.
Reegan Cooke-Holmes (R80), John Twell (R70) and John Clapton (R110) got the wins for Pyramid, seeing Holbeach off 7-0.
Denis Hix (R70), Chris Chamberlain (R40) and Neil Harvey (R50) were the unlucky players.
Holbeach A faired better than their clubmates, beating bottom-of-the-table Gosberton B 7-0.
Phil Coaten (R80), Mick Cooper (O200) and Ben Harding (R30) took the wins, beating Marcus Pell (O40), Shane White (O40) and Des Forbes (R40) respectively.
Cooper knocked in breaks of 54, 35, 34, 31, 23, 21 and 20 on his way to victory.
Consti B beat Gosberton A 5-2, thanks to wins from Mick Johnson (O150) and Steve Spencer (R110).
Results: Consti A 2 Bourne SC 5, Donington 7 Pyramid B 0, Pyramid A 7 Holbeach B 0, Holbeach A 7 Gosberton B 0, Gosberton A 2 Consti B 5.
