Elite results for Empire

More than 90 cheerleading and dance athletes took part in a national competition recently.

Youngsters from Empire Elite, which has bases in Spalding and Crowland, travelled to Warwick University to compete in Allstar Cheerleading and Dance.
The youngsters, who are all aged between five and 18, have been working hard since September and saw their efforts rewarded with some fantastic results including eight first places, five second places, three third places and three fourth places.
Two of the academy’s teams, who are new this season, also received grand champion titles after receiving the highest scores for their age groups in youth cheer and mini dance.
Athletes are now back in the gym preparing for their next competition in Birmingham in five weeks.
