Spalding United Youth’s Blue boys given boost by generous donations

Spalding United under-11 Blues are enjoying a fantastic 2016/17 season so far.

Having already been very worthy winners of the PJAL Group A under-11 Medal Competition, they also have reached the PFA Cup quarter finals – to be played on February 5 at The Priory School in Spalding.

Alongside these successes, they have also been flag bearers at Peterborough United, meeting the legendary Barry Fry and a few of the players. The young Tulips are also due to play on Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge pitch in May in a youth football tournament.

But Blues biggest success this year is being selected to represent England in the Dana Cup in Denmark, one of the largest international youth cups in the world, in July.

Only three teams are selected per age group, per country, making it an amazing achievement for the Spalding starlets.

Having previously appealed for sponsorship to help cover the extensive cost of making the trip to Denmark, some generous donations have almost funded half of the entire trips costs already.

Indeed, Spalding United under-11 Blues would like to express their sincere thanks to Manor Fresh Limited, Sign Design Services Ltd, Bell Formworks Services Ltd and Roythorne’s Solicitors for their very kind donations.

The team are still looking for donations as they would love to cover the costs of all 11 players. If you would like to donate or are interested please contact Jenna on kiejen@sky.com for further information.
