48 homes planned on Spalding town centre site

A car dealership site could have 48 homes built on it.

Kaplan Property Group has submitted the plans for the EMG Motors site in St John’s Road, Spalding.
EMG has already got approval from South Holland District Council to move its service centre to Wardentree Lane, Pinchbeck and has applied for permission for a new showroom in Elsoms Way.

The application for the St John’s Road site said: “The surrounding area’s residential context and strong links to the town centre provides a suitable location for residential development, providing a variety of sized dwellings for first time buyers and families in the local area to inhabit, with the provision of off-road parking and garden areas suitable for such a development.”

The plans include six one bedroom flats, 29 two-bedroom houses, 13 three-bedroom houses and state 30 per cent of the development will be affordable homes.
