A family has paid tribute to a 19-year-old from Spalding who died in a road traffic collision.
Morgan James Robert Swann died after the incident on the A14 near Cambridge on Tuesday, April 22.
Three other people Morgan was travelling with also suffered serious injuries in the collision which involved a lorry.
The driver of the lorry, a 38-year-old man from Cambridge, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue, Cambridgeshire Police say.
A statement by the family said: “Our beautiful son was taken from us at the tender age of 19.
“He is utterly adored by his parents Mark and Sonia, his three sisters Georgia, Ellie and Scarlett, as well as grandparents, uncles, auntie, cousins and godparents, and so loved by his many, many friends.
“Morgan had passed all his interviews and assessments to secure a place at Britannia Royal Naval College as a Cadet Officer and follow a career as a submariner. He was awaiting a start date to pursue his dream. We are so proud of him.
“Our world will never be the same and we request privacy as we try to come to terms with the unimaginable pain of our loss.”
