£1,200 boost for hospital funds

A family of fundraisers have presented a cheque to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital.

The Loveridge family – mum Marlene, Elaine, Diane and Jayne – have been holding coffee mornings in Spalding and selling crafts each year raising much needed funds for different charities since 2011.
The efforts are in memory of their dad Eric, who passed away from lung cancer.
Last year they raised an incredible £1,246.40 and a cheque for this amount was recently presented to Julia Chance, Deputy Sister of the Colorectal department at Pilgrim Hospital.
Other charities that have benefited from their efforts include Macmillan, St Barnabas, Sepsis UK, Prostate Cancer UK, Breast Cancer UK, and Hope for Tomorrow (mobile chemotherapy suite van).
Jayne said: “We would like to especially thank all the volunteers, family and friends who have continued to help us raise funds over the years.”
