Pinchbeck United had a Saturday to forget as they were thrashed 5-0 by Gedling Miners Welfare in the GCE Hire United Counties League on Saturday.
The Knights never recovered from a disastrous start and played most of the game with 10 men after Josh Balding was given a straight red midway through the first period.
By that time Pinchbeck were already 2-0 down.
Carter Tingle put the home side ahead after four minutes before Noel Ward finished off a counter attack ten minutes later.
Any hopes Pinchbeck had were effectively over by half time when they conceded a penalty three minutes before the break that Joel Ward smashed straight down the middle to convert.
A smart finish from the same player in the second half made it 4-0 before Tingle added his second when he was left alone at the back post from a corner.
The result moved Gedling level on 27 points with 15th placed Pinchbeck.
The Knight next travel to Swallownest FC on Saturday.
Knights: Martin, Keating, Balding, Panton, Eyes, Brooks, Howlett, Foster, Slater, O’Conner, Ward. Subs: Shinn Cullen, Akyuz.
