Youngsters urged to try hanging out in The Chill Zone in Spalding

A new club for youngsters in Spalding is keen to spread the word of its benefits and find out what additions users and parents would like.

The Chill Zone runs every Friday between 4.30pm and 6.30pm at The Umbrella in Westlode Street.
It is being run by two experienced club managers, Danielle Parkin and Gemma Edwards, who are thrilled to be heading up the new venture.

Danielle said: “The club offers a great social space for members where they can enjoy the use of all the building’s facilities such as its large sports hall, TV and seating area, PlayStations and computers, table tennis, sports equipment, arts and crafts and much more.
“More importantly it’s a safe environment for young people to come with old and new friends and simply chill out!”

The club is open to all children aged nine or over and has good connections with both the primary and secondary schools in South Holland. Cost is £2 per session.

“With the club only being open a few weeks, we are really interested in what the members and the parents/carers think the club could offer such as different workshops or outings,” said Danielle.
“We would like to take the club members out once per term, however we would make sure that this additional cost would still be reasonable.”

To find out more about The Chill Zone, just go along on a Friday or call The Umbrella on 01775 712359 on a Wednesday daytime.
