Youngsters rewarded for doing arty activities in council promotion

Youngsters awarded medals and certificates for taking part in The Great South Holland Artsathlon are pictured with South Holland District Council community portfolio holder Coun Gary Taylor and community development officer Dani Nundy.

The annual event organised by the council, invites children aged four and upwards to take part in arts activities during the summer holidays.
Participants are awarded points for each activity.
This year youngsters enjoyed a wide variety of activities including acting, sculpting and reading.

Coun Taylor said: “It was a pleasure to present the medals to the children in recognition of the efforts they put into creative activities during the summer holidays.
“I would like to thank everyone who took part, it was clear that they all enjoyed themselves.”
