WWII veterans at annual Donington service to mark 70th anniversary of Arnhem operation

World War Two veterans from the 1st Air Troop Royal Engineers and 1st Parachute Squadron, including one who is a Chelsea Pensioner, made their annual pilgrimage to Donington for a moving parade on Sunday.

It commemorated the 70th anniversary of Operation Market Garden in Arnhem.

The Royal Engineers were based in Donington before they left for Arnhem and veterans return every year for the service at St Mary and the Holy Rood, which was led by a bagpiper.
