Police found 12 cannabis plants when they at went to the Long Sutton home of a 41-year-old woman on an unrelated matter.
Angela Lloyd of Anfield Road admitted cultivating the plants when she appeared before District Judge Peter Veits sitting at Boston Magistrates Court.
Prosecuting, Lou Johnson said police officers went to her home and, as part of a separate enquiry, searched her home where they found 12 cannabis plants being cultivated under a black tent and lighting in an upstairs bedroom.
After being arrested, she said Ms Lloyd told officers she was the ‘gardener’ and played no part in the supply of the drug.
Mitigating, Daven Naghen said Ms Lloyd suffered from a number of mental health problems and had been self medicating with cannabis and had been put under pressure to set up a grow in her home and just to look after them and water them in return for some cannabis for herself.
He said she had had a ‘very limited role’ and had ‘very little influence’ on those above her.
He said she had problems with debt and would benefit from help from the Probation Service.
After receiving a report from the Probation Service, the judge ordered her to undergo a 12 month community order with 20 rehabilitation days and was ordered to pay a total of £180 in court costs and charges.
