Two women arrested following drugs raid on Spalding property

Two women, one aged 18 and one 37, have been arrested after substances and cash were found in a drugs raid on a Spalding property.

Lincolnshire Police raided the Double Street premises on Friday, March 8 after executing a search warrant.

A spokesman for the force said: “Two women were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and released under investigation.”

Inspector Gareth Boxall of Spalding Police, said: “On the afternoon of Friday March 8, South Holland officers executed a warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in Double Street, Spalding.

“As a result of this, we arrested two women aged 18 and 37 for Possession with Intent to Supply. Both were released under investigation.

“This warrant was executed as part of an ongoing operation to address drug dealing in the town. The arrests on Friday are the latest of a number of arrests throughout the town in relation to the supply of drugs.

“Residents should be reassured though that South Holland has no bigger problem with drugs than anywhere else in the country but that we are determined in our efforts to work with our partners to target those people and addresses that are causing the most harm to the people of South Holland.”
