Woman (55) dies following RTC on A17.

A Long Sutton woman has died following a road traffic collision that closed the A17 overnight.

Police were called to the incident near Long Sutton at 6.38pm last night (Tuesday) with the road remaining closed until around 7am this morning.

The woman was driving the Renault Clio when it was involved in a collision with a a white Iveco articulated lorry.

Police initially reported that the woman had been seriously injured in the incident, but released a second statement at 12.20pm today announcing her death.

They’re now looking for any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the accident to come forward.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or who saw the vehicles before the incident, to contact us.
