Woman (44) dies after collision in Spalding

A 44-year-old woman died following a collision on Halmer Gate in Spalding yesterday evening (Thursday, August 18).

It followed a collision involving a silver car and a VW transporter shortly after 5pm.

A spokesman man for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call with reports of a two-vehicle collision in the Halmer Gate area of Spalding at 5.04pm on 18 August (Incident 328).

“A collision had occurred between a silver Mercedes-Benz and a white Volkswagen Transporter.

“Tragically a 44-year-old woman died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

“Our investigations are ongoing.”
