Winsover Road in Spalding is to remain closed tonight (Tuesday, December 19) with the road waiting to be resurfaced after urgent repair works on a water main were carried out.
The road was closed from 9am this morning after a water leak was reported yesterday.
Anglian Water had said it hoped to re-open the road by the end of today, however a large hole remains and bollards are blocking the road between the junction with Station Road and close to the entrance Aldi.
A spokesman said: “The repairs have been completed tonight. The next step is to get the road reinstated.”
Winsover Road was part of a planned diversion following the closure of Park Road at its junction with Pinchbeck Road due to work being carried out by local gas network Cadent.
