The Rotary Club of Spalding’s push to raise £10,000 for a third successive Two Lips campaign is well under way.

Fundraising events are on throughout this month but the focal week starts on Monday and culminates in a ball at the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding on Saturday, May 17.

Tribute acts to Take That and Robbie Williams are the highlight of the night. The event is supported by Larkfleet Homes and tickets, including a three-course meal, are £40 each (available from Sarah Prior on 01775 720607).

The Two Lips campaign is now in its third year. The Rotary Club and other organisations hold fundraisers to support specific local charities.
Beneficiaries include LIVES First Responders, Riding for the Disabled at West Pinchbeck, Age UK, Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, St Barnabas Hospice, Spalding Hospice Foundation and Johnson Community Hospital League of Friends.

A themed part of the campaign is the sale of plastic Two Lips whistles for £1 – available at many outlets including Turner’s Fish Restaurant, Birchgrove Garden Centre and South Holland District Council reception.

Events include:

  • Buffet night at Indus, Winsover Road, Spalding, on Wednesday, May 21, from 6pm. Staff will wear Bangladeshi clothes and there will be a small auction. Cost is £15 per person (£6 to Two Lips). Book on 01775 760088.
  • Special fundraising days at Spalding branches of Barclays and Boots and Johnson Community Hospital.
