Whitewash win puts Consti E in second place

A 6-0 win for Consti E has pushed them up into second place in Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League.

They whitewashed Holbeach D to move up from fifth to second, within four points of leaders Services C.
Consti’s winners on the night were Sean Jeynes (O14), Jack Chilvers (O7), George Neary-Phillips (O21), Simon Law (O7) and Martin Ulyatt (O7).
Neary-Phillips sealed his win over Andy Spearman (R7) with a 22 break and a 27 clearance.
Services C are still at the top thanks to a 4-2 win over Holbeach C.
Geoff Hemsil (R28), Kevin Fitter (O14) and Shane Cummins (O14) were the winners for Services, with Cummins knocking in a 41 break during his win over Mark Gregory (O42).
Services A have moved up to third place following a 5-1 victory over Pyramid C.
Vince Fitter (O35), Martin Spencer (O21), Chris Dunmore (O35) and Phil Spencer (O7) were the winners for Services, while Jason Green (O56) got the lone frame for Pyramid, beating Kev Emerson (R7) 98-96.
Fitter got a 42 break on his way to winning against Spencer Dawkins (O56).
In a clash of the Consti teams, Consti G came out on top, beating the H team 4-2.
Ady Sibley (O28), Mark Woodberry (O56) and Mark Wilkinson (O14) were the winners for the G team, while Adam Mayman (O21) and Olly Turner (O14) got the points for the H team.
Donington C beat Bourne SC A 4-2 thanks to Neil Reynolds (O56), Ben Wrigglesworth (O35) and Lee Hempsall (O14).
Reynolds knocked in a 45 break on his way to winning over Carl Gibson (O28).
Down at the bottom of the table, Sutton Bridge won their third game of the season, beating Bourne SC B 4-2.
Glenn Ryan (O28), Wayne Howard (O14) and Shane Balding (O56) were winners for Bridge.
Holbeach E beat Boundary A 4-2 allowing them to move above them in the standings.
Victors for Holbeach were Stuart Sullivan (O35), Pete Ransome (O28) and Ben Harding (O35), while Boundary’s points were down to Dan Smith (O7) and Mick Goddard (scr).
It’s as you were in Division Two, with the top six teams holding their positions, although it’s all very close with just two points separating the top four.
Pyramid A lost ground after going down 5-1 away to Consti B, who are fourth, but sit just two points behind them.
John Christian (R7), Mick Johnson (O28), John Keeton (O7) and Steve Spencer (R21) got the wins for Consti, while Michael Twell (R14) got the solitary point for Pyramid.
Second-placed Holbeach A are one point behind the leaders, despite losing 4-2 to bottom-of-the-table Donington B.
Winners for Donington were Gavin Lewis (O7), Darren Templeman (scr) and Paul Stewart (scr).
Derek Beba (R7) and Stuart Atkin (O42) got the wins for Holbeach.
Pyramid D are still third and have closed the gap at the top thanks to a win 5-1 over Gosberton A.
Gosberton started well thanks to a win from Geoff Wand (R7), but it went downhill from there with Pyramid D players Marcus Hamilton (O28), James Sharpe (O42), Josh Agger (O14) and Pete Sharpe-Grose (R7) taking the next four frames.
Donington A are still fifth, despite losing 4-2 to bottom placed Gosberton D.
Paulo Gensiorskyj (O14), James Parrott (O7) and Keith Lungley (O7) got the wins for Gosberton.
Holbeach B beat Whittlesey C 6-0. Victors were Adi Liquorish (R14), Charlie Mullane (R21), Pete Mullane (O28), Neil Harvey (O14) and Barry Haynes (O7).
Consti F have leapfrogged Services B after beating them 4-2.
Services took the first two frames courtesy of Jason Rose (O21) and Fred Cummins (R7), before Consti hit back thanks to Warren Peel (scr), Martyn Stanley (R21) and Justyn Stanley (scr).
Services D had a 4-2 win away at Pyramid B.
Paul Spicer (O14), Kevin Robbs (R14) and Richard Neal (R21) got the points for Services.
In Division Three, leaders Holbeach F didn’t have a match, but those teams in second, third and fourth place all failed to capitalise on the opportunity, all losing their games.
Consti I missed out on the chance to close the gap at the top, losing 4-2 to Whittlesey A.
Lance Clarke (R7), Jason Clarke (scr) and Steve Jennings (O21) got the wins, giving Whittlesey the victory.
Consti A remain in third but lost 4-2 to friendly foe Consti J.
Les Andrew (scr), Trev Braybrook (R14) and Stewart Davies (O14) were the winners for the J team in this one.
Third placed Gosberton C also lost, going down 5-1 away to bottom-placed Consti D.
Steve Moore (R14), Tom Digby (R7), Geoff Ellingworth (R21) and John Cooper (R14) gave Consti the win, while Stuart Henderson (scr) took the lone point for Gosberton.
Gosberton B dropped a place at the foot of the table, losing 4-2 at home to Consti C, while Donington D moved up a place after beating Pyramid E 4-2.
