Last week saw the first cup games get underway in the Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer Darts League with the preliminary round of the Knockout Cup.
Consti Club C progressed with a 7-2 home win over Pinchbeck FC B.
After storming into a 7-0 lead, the final two singles went the way of the football club, with father and son duo John and Connor MacKenzie defeating Paul and Harry Faulkner.
Harvey Elderkin struck a 180 for the Pinchbeck side.
Consti Club A also won 7-2 at home, beating Drayman’s Arms A after recovering from a 2-0 deficit to take the last seven games.
Drayman’s Arms B claimed a 6-3 home victory over the Lincoln Arms D.
Phil Newton sealed the match with a 2-0 win over Eva Spinks, finishing with a 113 checkout after earlier producing a superb 145 finish.
Vlad Fomkinas hit a 180 and Jake Harris recorded a 17-dart leg for Drayman’s.
Green Dragon C also progressed, earning a strong 7-2 away win at Services Club A.
Adam Rear, Olivia Balding and Jamie Balding won the final three singles to secure the result, with Jamie also checking out on 106.
Nigel Goodwin produced an 18-dart leg for the Lincoln side in his 2-0 win over Lisa Brooks.
Lincoln Arms A were the biggest winners of the night, delivering a 9-0 whitewash away at Consti Club Z.
The pairs matches featured 16-dart legs from Steve Stancer and Paul Blow, and from John Charlton and Jon Young.
Sam Roberts added an 18-dart leg in his singles win, while Callum Ward hit a 180 for Consti.
Consti Club D also advanced, edging a tight contest 5-4 away at Lincoln Arms C, with John Robinson and Dean Drage winning the final two singles to turn the match around.
In a rearranged Division B fixture, Pinchbeck FC A claimed a narrow 14-13 away victory at Green Dragon Z.
Although both Tracey Baldwin and Josh Burton lost their final singles 2-1, each secured crucial legs that ultimately proved decisive in sealing the overall win.
