Transported aims to increase the number of people in the South Holland and Boston areas engaging with and participating in the arts.
Funded by Creative People and Places from Arts Council England, the programme is moving into its third year and is organising lots of different arts events and activities to take place during 2015.
An open update meeting is at South Holland Centre in Spalding on Wednesday, April 22 from 5.30pm.
It will be a great chance to find out more about this year’s plans, to see some of what Transported has been up to and to meet the team.
Anyone wishing to go along should email [email protected] by Wednesday (April 8), or call 01406 701006.
Transported is working on a publication mapping local arts groups and organisations.
It will be used at Transported events to point people in the direction of further arts activity as well as being available as a digital download in the future.
Communications and relationships manager Melissa Poulson said: “Arts organisations and voluntary groups are undoubtedly integral and central to arts provision in Boston Borough and South Holland. This publication will both demonstrate this and celebrate the wide breadth and high quality of opportunities available – and hopefully encourage people to carry on their arts journey.”
Any arts organisation or group that hasn’t been contacted by Transported should email [email protected].
Transported has two networking meetings (both 7pm-9pm) especially for organisations and groups to tie in with Voluntary Arts Week.
- Tuesday, May 19 – Blackfriars Theatre, Boston
- Wednesday, May 20 – Baytree Conference Centre, Weston
Anyone wishing to attend should email [email protected] or call 01406 701006.
