Whaplode bingo queen’s three little ducks for breast cancer unit

All the twos, £222 were presented to a hospital unit that looks after breast cancer patients recently following a charity bingo night.

The regular bingo nights at Whaplode Village Hall continue to be successful and the Breast Cancer Care Unit at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston was the grateful recipient following the last night on Friday, May 18.

Organiser Phyllis Harris visited the unit herself on Monday, June 4 to present the cheque for £222 to the unit’s Linda Fisher.

The bingo nights are taking a summer break and there will not be one in June or July.

The next event will take place at Whaplode Village Hall on Friday August 15.

The doors are open at 6pm with eyes down at 7pm.

Phyllis said: “Everyone is welcome to come along and have a good evening“There’s a host of prizes on offer to win including some cash prizes.”
