Welsh road signs puzzle drivers

Motorists have been left puzzled after Welsh language  signs sprang up at roadworks on the Lincolnshire border.

Sutton Bridge councillor Chris Brewis sent in this picture of the sign at Tydd Gote, which reads Works Access and Mynedfa Waith.

He said: “I took this morning at Tydd Gote on the River Nene bank!

“I know it is only 400 yards from the frontier, but the border is Lincolnshire/Norfolk/Cambridgeshire, not Wales!

“I listened carefully, and heard nobody n Tydd Gote utter the words ‘boro da’ nor ‘iechydd dda’.”
