Water Taxi back for the summer

It’s no April Fool, one of Spalding’s finest and most unique institutions is back on Saturday, April 1.

The Spalding Water Taxi season begins and is set to continue right through the summer.
Anthony Grunwell, who oversees the operation, said: “The Spalding Water Taxi has been operating for over 15 years with the only break in service due to the two COVID years.
“Once again we are open this year with the first boats sailing from both town and Springfields’ jetties at 10am on Saturday, April 1.
“The first trip of the day will be free, but only on a first come, first served basis.
Spalding Water Taxi won the Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Customer Care and Service in 2022.
The team has also been awarded customers choice by Tripadvisor deeming them to be in the top ten per cent of world wide attractions.
The normal price will remain the same this year with a single ticket costing £3.50, and return £7, and a family ticket being £10.
They also operate self drive boats.
