Two children accused of the murder of Spalding man Warren Free were on Tuesday (Dec 16) granted conditional bail by a judge at Lincoln Crown Court.
The boys, aged 14 and 15,were charged earlier this week bringing the total number of teenagers accused of the murder of Mr Freer to five. The older boy also faces a charge of perverting the course of justice.
Both boys had earlier appeared before Lincoln magistrates who sent the case to the Crown Court.
During the 20-minute Crown Court hearing, from which the press were refused entry, the two boys appeared in the dock flanked by a police officer and two uniformed custody officers.
Judge Stuart Rafferty then adjourned the case until February when a plea and case management hearing is to be held.
Two girls aged 15 and a boy aged 17 have previously been remanded into local authority care accused of murder and will appear at the February hearing alongside the two boys who were in court today.
Police have yet to make a decision on whether to charge a sixth youth who was arrested following the death.
Mr Free (42) was rushed to hospital from his home in Coronation Close, Spalding, on August 28 with a serious head injury following an incident at his home in the early hours.
He was airlifted to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, but died the following day.
