The Ward Trophy took centre stage this week in Division B of the Hereward Sports Pinchbeck and District Summer Darts League with both semi-finals being played.
Dreams of a league and cup double for Draymans Arms B were dashed by Green Dragon Z with the Swineshead side gaining an impressive 6-3 away win. Callum Day hit a 180 for the Dragon in his 2-1 singles win against Kev Newton.
Joining them in the final are the Royal Mail Cart who despite losing the last two games had already got a 6-1 lead away at the Services Club A.
Division A leaders Lincoln Arms A secured the title with one match to play with a 16-11 win at Pinchbeck FC. Paul Blow for the Lincoln and Mark Dixon for Pinchbeck both hitting 180s.
In the Consti Club derby it was the B team that came out victors with a 16-11 away win at the Z team. Chris Howling with a 102 finish in his 3-0 single’s win.
Pinchbeck FC, playing a game earlier in the week, came up short again against the Lincoln Arms D losing 13-14. There was a rare 180 for Lincoln’s Dan Gent helping him to a 2-1 win in the last match decider against Andy Mason.
There was also an 18 dart leg in the pairs for Stacey Banister and Tony Spinks for the Lincoln side.
With only one game in Division B it was Kirton Leisure taking the honours winning 18-9 away at Green Dragon C.
