Wallis takes win

It was back to the Pode Hole course for Spalding Cycling Club for this week’s 10-mile time trial.
Ten riders took the course on a slow Wednesday evening with an unfavourable wind blowing up the long Delph straight.
A familiar face made a return to racing this week, Josh Wallis took the win in his dad’s bike, setting a time of 21:27, followed home by the man building form at the moment, Chris Ward.
Notable for the championship was the absence of Frazer Wallis and Neil Palmer.
Fastest road bike was again Kieran Buffham at 23:30 setting exactly the same time as Matt Chappell.
Also making his debut for the season was Adam Ellis leading home a closely fought battle for fifth between Dan Warner, Mark Booth, Tom Drew, Adam Riddington and Jacob Booth, who was coming off the back of a great second place in the schools’ GHS competition for the area.
