Walking group steps out again

A hugely popular community walk is to return.

Donington Free Health Walks returns on Tuesday, August 3, and will meet at 10.15am in the Ruby Hunt Centre, Church Street, departing at 10.30am.

The walks are completely free and last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Eddie Finch, who helps to organise them, said: “We are looking forward to seeing old friends and welcoming any new members who may have moved into the area as it is such a great way to make new friends and experience local walks, you can be assured of a warm welcome.”

The award winning Donington walking group is one of the best attended in Lincolnshire and offers at least two different walks every Tuesday, varying in distance to suit all abilities.

The walks are led by qualified walk leaders and vary from one mile to four miles returning at the very latest by midday.

Mr Finch added: “Please wear suitable footwear and clothing, dogs who must be kept on a lead at all times are very welcome. Refreshments for a small fee are served by the Ruby Hunt volunteers at the centre after the walks.”
