Walk and talk on suicide prevention

Three fathers who are taking on charity walks to raise awareness and money of a suicide charity are holding an event in Sutton Bridge next month.

The 25-day long Walk of Hope 2024 is being taken on by Andy Airey, Mike Palmer and Tim Owen whose daughters Sophie, Beth and Emily all took their own lives.
The walk is their latest for the charity Papyrus.
Day 21 on May 7 is a 24-mile walk between Frampton Marsh and Sutton Bridge where the ‘Three Dads’ will conclude with a free talk at The Curlew Centre.
It’s being hosted as a joint project between the venue, Long Sutton’s Men Shed and the U3A Sutton Bridge.
A spokesman said: “Find out how we can all support their suicide prevention efforts including the Papyrus suicide prevention telephone Hopeline247.”
