Spalding Cemetery has had a lockdown clean-up thanks to a group of volunteers.

Undergrowth has been cleared, ivy cut back and stonework cleaned by the group (pictured above).

The town’s photographic group has also taken picturess of the oldest and most vulnerable memorials as a record of the site dating from 1854.

The Cemetery Chapel and Johnson Mausoleum will be open from 10am to 3pm daily from September 12 to 20 under this year’s National Heritage Open Days scheme.
