Dance tutors and events company Boston Jive continue to expand their retro offerings with the opening of a new shop in Spalding.
Opening on Friday, October 6, Vera Rose House of Vintage is suitably decked out in 40s and 50s furniture and sells retro clothes in the boutique shop.
There is also a hair and make-up salon and a the opportunity for vintage-style photoshoots.
Co-owner Claire Seabrook of Boston Jive said: “We have been thinking about it for a while and when we stumbled upon the right premises that was the birth of Vera Rose House of Vintage, named after my late mum.
“We have two main rooms – the first being our reception room/photo shoot area where people can have their photos taken in vintage styles of either the 40s or 50s, as we have two sections set up with period furnishings and even a working 50s record player to get you into the feel of the era.
“The other room is our retro clothing and accessories shop with a beautiful little changing room and also housing our hair and make up salon, where you get ready for your vintage photo shoot, or simply pay to have your hair done in vintage style ready for your night out!”
Claire and her husband Neil this month celebrated two years of teaching dance as Boston Jive with a sold out show at the South Holland Centre.
Claire said: “The gig was incredible, I still can’t believe it’s happened.”
The shop is located upstairs at 2 Red Lion Street, Spalding. To find out more, visit Vera Rose House of Vintage on Facebook.
