Village gym set to bulk out?

A village gym could be set for extra muscle after a planning application has been submitted for it to be extended.
The Holbeach St Marks facility moved to the village hall so it could be used safely with COVID restrictions last year.
And it’s proved such a hit, those behind it are looking to expand to ensure it can stay there while the hall can still be used when needed.
Nick Worth said: “The gym moved from Bakkavor’s community building last year to the village hall due to COVID restrictions.
“The lease with Bakkavor has expired so to keep the gym at the village hall we are hoping to double the size of the village hall so that the gym can have its own dedicated area and allow the hall to be used for community events again, as the gym takes up the entire hall at present.
“Obviously we will need to apply for grants once we get permission, so will be some way off before any work begins.
“Meanwhile the gym is up and running again and well used by local people bringing in much needed income for the hall.”
