Village concert for flower festival

A host of local talent is coming together for a special concert as part of this year’s St Mary’s Flower Festival in Pinchbeck.

Pavanotti and Friends is on Saturday (May 4) amid the blooms created for display in the church.
It will be a special night for the Pavarotti tribute aka Jeff Woods as he plays a rare gig in his home village.
And he’ll be joined by a host of talented friends.
They include Oksana Ponaida, a Ukrainian opera singer from Lviv, and the talents of Cormac O’Hara, day- time the owner of Holbeach’s Caffe Aurora and a talented singer in his own right.
The John Bland Memorial Choir will also be performing at the show which starts at 7pm.
“We wanted to give something back to the community,” Jeff said. “I am looking forward to it and we’ve been working hard to put on this show.
“It’s set to be a really good night.”
Jeff says another Pinchbeck name, in the Spalding Flower Parade Queen Rebecca Roberts, is also set to attend.
“I’m delighted Rebecca’s attending,” continued Jeff. “She’s a lovely person and another Pinchbeck resident.
“I’m really pleased with the ticket sales too. There’s not too many left so anyone who wants to come should look to get their tickets soon.”
Tickets are £10 and available from Birchgrove Garden Centre in the run up to the event.
