Up and running again

Fifty runners returned to Crowland for the return of the Snowden Field Parkrun after a week off due to a cycling competition at the venue.

Halmer Harriers’ Adam Caress clocked 20 minutes 45 seconds on his way to second place with Richard Williams also in the first 10 for the Spalding-based club, finishing eighth in 23:18.
Simon Eldridge, 18th 26:55, and Rebecca Pearce, 33rd 31:05, were the only other Harriers taking on the course.
Maria Ceballos was the sole Halmer representative at the Canons Park event in Edgware, earning 37th place of 202 runners in 24:43, while Jayne Pell, Kathryn Chapman and Katherine Baxter were at Salcey Forest Parkrun in Northamptonshire, where they finished 141st 36:09, 162nd 44:59 and 163rd 44:59 respectively of the 175 taking on the weekly 5K challenge.
The club’s runners have two more Parkrun chances before doubling their efforts for the annual West Pinchbeck 10K on Sunday, September 29.
