Unbeaten 50s get Town home

Skipper Jon Manton and Chris Dring smacked unbeaten half-centuries to steer Spalding Town to an eight-wicket win.

Woodhall Spa had failed to make much of an impression in the Lincolnshire Cricket Board Premier League match after electing to bat.
Prasanna Jaywardene was caught by wicket-keeper Ethan Lawrence off Nilantha Attapattu and fellow opener Matt Carter was dismissed for obstructing the field with the score still on 12.
Attapattu then struck again with the second of his three wickets to trap Jamie Epton LBW as he was getting into his stride on 22.
Town’s Brandon Andrew bowled Tom White for 22 before Kieran Richardson finished on an unbeaten 28 as Woodhall were cleaned up for 143.
Manton’s 59 off 108 balls included eight fours.
Dring was faster out of the blocks, clearing the boundary on one occasion and clouting six fours en route to Town making 144/2.
