Two Lips Ball rolls in the cash again

A fundraising ball has topped £40,000 in money raised for charities with its tenth outing.

The Spalding and Welland branch of The Rotary Club’s Two Lips Ball returned on Friday, as 90 people enjoyed a three-course meal and the entertainment of local band Zebra at the Springfields Exhibition Centre.

It’s organised by Sarah Prior, in memory of her dad George Hastings who was a Rotarian and passed away in December 2016.

“We raised £2,500 on the night which we really pleased about.

“It’s our tenth year of holding the event and the total we’ve raised over that period is now just over £40,000.

“A really big thank you goes to everyone who came and who contributed prizes to the auction, gift tree and raffle.

“A huge thanks also go to Paul Tomlinson and Davis Worldwide and D Spenceley Ltd who sponsored the event.”
